Notes
This recipe is also easily customizable to your taste preferences and dietary needs. Here are some ideas:
Protein Powder:Note that different protein powders can affect the consistency of your balls. We recommend using a vegan protein powder, but any kind will work! If your protein powder is very fine, you might need to add less or use a drier nut butter. Conversely, a coarser protein powder might require a touch more moisture.
Nut Butter: Choose your favorite nut butter for a delicious base! Opt for peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, or even sunflower seed butter for a nut-free option.
Mix-Ins: Get creative! Add chopped nuts, seeds, shredded coconut, vegan chocolate chips, or dried fruit for extra texture and flavor.
Sweetener: We use maple syrup in this recipe, but you can substitute honey, agave nectar, or another liquid sweetener of your choice.
These cookie dough protein balls are a great treat after a healthy meal, or post workout. You've got to try them! Having healthy sweet treats packed in the fridge makes it easy to satisfy your sweet tooth in a sustainable and wholesome way.
