- Use freshly brewed espresso for the best flavor. Espresso can be brewed using a variety of methods, such as an espresso machine, or nespresso.
- Use a good quality coffee liqueur. Coffee liqueur is essential for adding flavor and depth to your espresso martini. Popular brands include Tia Maria, Kahlúa, and Mr. Black.
- Use simple syrup instead of sugar. Simple syrup is a mixture of equal parts water and sugar that has been dissolved and heated. It is easier to dissolve in cocktails than sugar, and it also gives the cocktail a smoother texture.
- Shake the cocktail vigorously. Vigorous shaking is what creates the frothy foam that is characteristic of a good espresso martini. Shake the cocktail for at least 30 seconds, or until the shaker is very cold and the cocktail is frothy.
- Garnish the cocktail with coffee beans. Coffee beans are a classic garnish for espresso martinis, and they add a touch of sophistication to the drink. Add a touch of cinnamon powder for an extra flare.
